How to Hide Photos on Android

On Android, the main built-in ways to hide photos are Google Photos' Locked Folder and, on Samsung, Secure Folder. Here is how each works. (NoodBank itself is iPhone and Mac only.)

Google Photos Locked Folder

Open Google Photos and go to Collections (or Library) → Utilities → Locked Folder.
Set it up using your phone's screen lock (PIN, pattern, or fingerprint).
Open a photo, tap More (⋮) → Move to Locked Folder. It leaves your grid and your backup, and requires your screen lock to open.

Samsung Secure Folder

On Samsung phones, Secure Folder (Settings → Security and privacy) creates a separate, encrypted space with its own lock. You can move photos into its Gallery. It is more of a full private space than a single folder.

On iPhone or Mac instead?

No. Items in Locked Folder are kept on the device, are not backed up to Google Photos, and do not appear in your grid or memories.
