Find them first
The hard part isn't deleting — it's finding every photo, scattered across years. Two ways:
- People album: Photos → Albums → People & Pets → tap their face for most photos of them (full guide). It catches most, not all.
- On-device detection for the private or intimate ones the People album misses.
Decide: delete or hide
You don't have to delete everything in the heat of the moment:
- Delete what you're sure about — it goes to Recently Deleted for 30 days, then it's gone.
- Hide the ones you're not ready to erase but don't want popping up — out of the camera roll, still there if you change your mind.
